VALENTINE'S (November 18, 2014) An designer who for a time called Waco family has pleaded guilty to a illegal mischief charge that stems from hooliganism targeting a quirky West Texas style project that depicts a Prada iPhone 5 store in the middle of nowhere.
Joe Magnano, who currently lives in New York, pleaded guilty Nov. 7 before 394th District Court Judge Roy Ferguson in Fort Davis and was already placed on two years' probation coupled with was ordered to pay $10, 1000 in restitution after admitting the individual vandalized Prada iPhone 5S case Marfa, near Valentines.
Magnano's attorney, Bill Johnston, concerning Waco, said the Jeff Davis District Attorney agreed to reduce the charge aimed at Magnano from a felony to a misdemeanor in exchange for the guilty plea.
Johnston said his client said the individual felt an art-based motivation with regard to defacing the Prada Marfa installation by painting the outside of the building teal.
Magnano said the blue amount was intended to mimic the Toms Shoe logo and was only utilization of Prada Marfa project as his or canvas.
