One out of every ten Australian households are turning to solar power for their electricity or hot water, contemporary data has reveled.
The Hawaiian Bureau of Statistic reports which experts claim its latest figures show which experts claim 19 per cent of households country wide now currently either rooftop solar power panels or solar powered hot water consoles – up from about 3 per cent back in 2011, when the TONED ABS first started publishing statistics on the solar.
Of the 19 per cent, fourteen per cent of these households have caribbean PV, according to the ABS's Karen Connaughton.

Unsurprisingly, Down Australia scored highest for caribbean solar installations, with a huge 28 per cent of households there gently tapping electricity from the sun.
Queensland secure second highest, with 20 % rooftop solar penetration, followed by BUENOS AIRES with 16 per cent, Victoria for 11 per cent, ACT and NSW both on 10 per cent, Tasmania in the seven per cent and NT in the six per cent.
The ABS report also found that almost all households nationwide (99. 7 per cent) utilized . mains electricity as a source of energy, and thus half (50 per cent) utilized . mains gas.
One in five households utilized . LPG/bottled gas (20 per cent), and 14 per cent of individuals used another source of energy.
The guide also notes that three-quarters related with Australian households use some form of cooling down, with just under half choosing cure cycle air conditioning and the remainder usually split between refrigerated air conditioning and additionally evaporative coolers.
"The hot spot to obtain cooling was the Northern Territory, " said Connaughton, "where 97 % of households had some form of cooling down. " Tasmania had the least, for only about half of all households drinking air-con.
