UK photovoltaic farms get snapped up by Statkraft

Norwegian energy giant Statkraft enjoys purchased six utility-scale solar power leaves across the UK in a 15-year matter agreed with SunEdison. The stiff has entered into a Power Purchase Analogy (PPA) for the renewable energy generated at the 88 MW (megawatt) portfolio in solar farms built by SunEdison who will continue to provide ongoing manipulation and operations services for the leaves. The 15 year agreement complete with SunEdison, a leading solar technology manufacturer in addition to provider of solar energy services, will dsicover Statkraft purchase the energy and linked to renewable benefits from the solar leaves. They have a combined capacity to generate good enough renewable energy to power 20, 500 homes. Tim Foster, Head in Renewable Origination at Statkraft says: "The solar market is in an overwhelming place right now and we are exuberant to win SunEdison as a prospect. The Statkraft team demonstrated much of our ability to immediately respond to tight prospect deadlines which was instrumental in closing this important deal. We hope to build a strong relationship with SunEdison into the future". José Pérez, SunEdison's President of Nations, Africa and Latin America furthermore: "The UK solar market is potent rapidly as the people of Great Uk, united kingdom are increasingly asking for renewable energy. Such PPA will provide Statkraft reliable, incredibly priced energy for years to come which help them meet the strengthening demand for sustainable energy. "We look forward to continuing to support this important growth and the local economy during future projects. "
