As David Bowie really knows, sound and vision are a perfect pairing. Now, Sony is applying in his footsteps: its latest LIGHT EMITTING DIODE bulb is also a portable bluetooth speaker.
Finally the 360-lumen bulb pairs with a mobile phone via Bluetooth allowing you to adjust levels or brightness. It also comes with a loyal remote control which can be paired using NFC. Sony claims that it allows you to perform where in the past it's been difficult to initiate speakers. If anyone's ever attempted to install speakers directly into a light suitable, do speak up.
More profoundly, this is a neat idea-with two tricks. The first is sound quality: small speakers may possibly sound good, but they don't always, and therefore until you hear what this one will sound like you may want to keep your money in your pants pocket. Which leads to the second: the light will initially cost in the region of $150. Ouch.
The bulb is available in Tosu, japan from May 23rd and it's unclear when it will arrive in the U. Nasiums.. But until it does, just evaluation of the fun you could have with one of these things procedures Sony's press shots. [Sony via Verge]
(Oh, sorry, that last the one that you want will be Beck performing Sound and Down the middle of. )
